Organization
The Kunstakademie Düsseldorf is a public corporation and at the same time an institution of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It has the right of self-administration within the framework of the law (Article 16, paragraph 1 of the Constitution for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) and carries out its responsibilities as matters of self-administration, to the extent that they are not assigned to it as state matters. A unified administration serves the fulfillment of both types of tasks.
The personnel of the Kunstakademie are civil servants of the state. The state provides the funds for the implementation of the tasks of the Kunstakademie in accordance with the provisions of the State Budget Code and in accordance with the state budget.
In accordance with this law, the Kunstakademie establishes its "Grundordnung" (basic regulations) as statutes and other regulations necessary to fulfill its tasks. The "Grundordnung", "Einschreibungsordnung" (enrollment regulations), and "Prüfungsordnung" (examination regulations) are published in the Official Gazette of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. All other regulations, as well as decisions to be published, are announced by the Kunstakademie in a publication sheet. It regulates the procedure, the date of entry into force of the regulations, and the form of publication, in particular the requirements for the publication sheet.
